Decades later, Hall has offered a more reflective look at those years, revealing how painful the collapse of their relationship could be while also acknowledging how dramatically their lives have changed.
Hall and Jagger began dating in the late 1970s and eventually had four children together: Elizabeth, James, Georgia May, and Gabriel. They held a wedding ceremony in Bali in 1990, although the marriage was later declared legally invalid by an English court. Their relationship ended in 1999 after Jagger’s affair with Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez resulted in a pregnancy.
Hall previously described the breakup as an extraordinarily difficult period. In a 2005 interview with British Vogue, she recalled feeling humiliated and depressed while attempting to hold her family together. At the time, she was raising four children while dealing with intense media attention surrounding the collapse of her relationship.
But Hall’s perspective has clearly evolved. In a June 2026 interview with British Vogue, published ahead of her 70th birthday, she spoke surprisingly warmly about Jagger. Rather than focusing exclusively on their painful past, she praised him as a “great diplomat” within their extended family.
Hall revealed that their blended family now spends time together, including Jagger, his fiancée Melanie Hamrick, their son, and Hall and Jagger’s children. She said everyone gets along remarkably well and described the situation as unusual but successful.
