After Divorce, Brad Pitt Finally Reveals The Truth About Angelina Jolie // After eight years of public legal battles, custody disputes, and tabloid headlines, Brad Pitt has finally revealed his side of the truth about Angelina Jolie—and it’s not

After eight years of public legal battles, custody disputes, and tabloid headlines, Brad Pitt has finally revealed his side of the truth about Angelina Jolie—and it’s not the story of a villain or a victim,

but of two people who grew apart in the public eye. In a rare, candid GQ interview, the 61‑year‑actor reflected on his marriage to Jolie, the infamous 2016 private jet incident, and the long, painful divorce that left their family fractured.

Pitt says he never intended to throw Jolie under the bus, even as she accused him of physical abuse. He acknowledges that he made serious mistakes, particularly around alcohol and anger, and admits that the 2016 incident on the plane was a low point that “sparked a cascade of regret.” “I was not the man I wanted to be,” he said. “Alcohol and stress made me mean, distant, and sometimes cruel.”

Yet he pushes back against the idea that Jolie deliberately turned their children against him. He describes the custody battle as a “toxic environment” that he now regrets, saying both parents were hurt by the legal fight. “Some of our kids dropped my name, and that cuts deep,” he said. “I do not blame Angelina for that. I blame the system, the lawyers, and the war it became.”

Pitt also says he still cares for Jolie, describing her as “extraordinary” and acknowledging the deep bond they once shared. “We were in love,” he said. “We built a family, we made mistakes, and we broke in ways that hurt everyone.”
