 Princess Charlotte may once have encountered a child called “Archie” before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their son.

The speculation appears to revive an old story involving Prince George. In 2019, reports circulated that William and Catherine’s eldest son had reportedly told a dog walker that his name was “Archie” while out near the Middleton family home. The account quickly generated curiosity because Harry and Meghan’s son was also named Archie that same year.

That coincidence has now been repackaged online into the far more dramatic suggestion that Charlotte somehow “saw two Archies.” However, there is no credible evidence that Charlotte witnessed two different children using the name, nor is there evidence of a secret royal identity involving Archie Harrison.

Harry and Meghan publicly announced their son’s name as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in May 2019. The name was considered unusual for a royal child, while “Harrison” was widely understood as a reference meaning “son of Harry.”

The latest claims have also been fueled by renewed online comparisons of photographs of Archie. Some social-media accounts have questioned whether different images appear to show the same child, but those comparisons do not establish that multiple children were used.
